The excursion

Vasanello, a town that rises along the route of the ancient Via Amerina, welcomes in its historic center the mighty mass of the Orsini castle, which stands as a bulwark at the entrance to the ancient village with its cylindrical corner towers, erected in the 16th century on a pre-existing medieval building, where Giulia Farnese and Lucrezia Borgia stayed.

We will visit the castle with its medieval garden and the ancient ceramics factory, located in the former Barberini stables.
