The Excursion

Visit Civita di Bagnoregio, the so-called “dying city”, located on a tuff hill subjected to continuous and inexorable erosion by both atmospheric agents and two small streams that flow in the valley below.

Guided tour through the alleys of the beautiful village of Montefiascone, a charming center located in a dominant and strategic position on the edge of the southern caldera of the Volsini mountains, overlooking Lake Bolsena. Significant are the impregnable Rocca dei Papi, one of the safest fortified centers in the area, and the Cathedral of Santa Margherita (1500) with its imposing dome and the splendid Romanesque church of San Flaviano.
